Why see Gasland Part II? “Gasland” has been a major motivating force and has helped raise public awareness about the devastation fracking and gas drilling is bringing to communities. Gas extraction and its damaging infrastructure and toxic waste is impacting shale gas communities and places like New Jersey, Philadelphia and New York where waste is being dumped, pipelines and processing facilities built, and radioactive shale gas is being peddled.
The story of Gasland Part II focuses on the people who are suffering, the politics of shale, the domination of mainstream media by the industry, the science behind it all and what we can do to get off of polluting fossil fuels and on to renewable, sustainable and truly clean energy sources before we reach climate collapse.
